Fall in
Love Does it Take time ?
Did you know that when you’re in love, it actually shows on the outside?
But for that happen, you really have to be in love. But really, how long does
it take to fall in love?
“I’m so
in love with him!”
“I’ve
never felt this way about anyone… ever!!”
“He’s
the one for me!!!”
Sounds
familiar? I bet it’s something all of us have said at least twice in our lives.
How long does it take to fall in love?
We get
into a relationship, and the first few months are all rosy and nice and we’re
ecstatic, we’re in eleventh heaven and we get transported into a fantasy world.
All of
us have been in love, but how many of us have actually been there? Think about
it. Ask yourself this question, what exactly is love?
What is love?
Love
doesn’t mean just romantic evenings by the seaside, having expensive lobster
and wine, gifts or even 24/7 mush.
If
there is anyone out there who thinks this is love, well, allow me to take those
rose tinted shades off your face!
This
four letter word, L-O-V-E, is probably the most over-rated over-used word in
common languages. Most of us assume we’re in love already, but do we even know
how long it takes to fall in love?
These
days, people use it without knowing the actual meaning of the word. You’re with
a person for two days, you think the two of you are meant to be, and the both
of you move in together, get married, and BANG!
That’s
it, you are in “true love”. Till now you've been seeing the world through those
glasses. Once you take them off, reality hits you right between the eyes! You
can’t compromise anymore, he snores in his sleep, and she nags so much she
reminds you of your grand aunt who buried your uncle way before his time! Still
in love?
Don’t
mean to be cynical here, only realistic Just because you are with a person for
two months and there are no glitches except the occasional lovers’ tiffs,
doesn't mean it’s true love and he’s your Prince Charming. Perhaps, he or she
may be the one, but only time will tell. Attention doesn't mean love. Many
people mistake attention for love.
College infatuations and love
For
instance, when you first enter high school or college, you tend to “fall” for
the first person who showers you with the slightest of attention. For all you
know, that person could just be genuinely nice and probably wouldn’t be
thinking of anything other than a platonic relationship. You jump to
conclusions. That’s the reason most of us end up being disappointed. Because of
free-wheeling assumptions.
So stop
assuming, be certain about that flutter in your heart before completely losing
yourself in this emotion. It makes life much better, simpler and fun!
So how long does it take to fall in
love? Well, when it really happens, you’ll know. But here are a few pointers
that can help you understand it better and stop you from falling in love
fast.
